Rachel Coad

1971 | Western Australia

Rachel Coad's painting practice spans more than 20 years.

Her monumental-scaled work focuses on figuration and is characterised by a limited palette and subtle tonal shifts.

She has been shortlisted for numerous painting awards including the Doug Moran Portrait Prize on multiple occasions, the Lester Prize and the Kilgour Art Award. At the end of 2013, Coad was shortlisted for the BankWest Painting Prize and was voted
